Pond Construction Guide
Your garden oasis in 12 steps - A short guide to building a pond!
1. Location:The ideal location for a garden pond is in partial shade. Four to six hours of sunlight per day is perfect.
2. Pond outline: First, mark out the pond's outline with sand. Also mark the different depth zones with sand.
3. Deep zones & pond edge:Shape the different depth zones with fill sand. Then you can install the pond edging system.
4. Determining the dimensions of the foil:Then, using a string, the necessary length of the fleece and pond liner is generously measured.
5. Fleece:After excavation, the depression is first lined with a fleece to protect against root penetration and the penetration of stones.
5. Foil and stone foil:The foil is then carefully laid, ideally without creases. The edges are protected with the stone foil.
7. Planting of level areas:Coconut mats are laid down for planting on level areas. They allow the plants to grip the soil optimally with their roots.
8. Edge area: For the natural design of the edge area, you will find stone foil, pond edging tape and slope mats with us.
9. Planting on steep slopes:Steeper sections are planted using embankment pockets. First, weigh these down with, for example, large stones, before planting.
10. Pond technology:When installing Oase pond technology, carefully read and conscientiously follow the instructions for use.
11. Pebbles and water:After the pebbles, the water finally goes into the pond: first half full, and only when the liner has completely settled is it filled completely.
12. Lighting:To create a pleasant atmosphere even in the evening hours, it is advisable to think about the appropriate lighting right away.
