Step-by-step instructions

Requirements: The subsurface temperature must be between 0-35°C and the ambient temperature 5-35°C.

1. Lay out the fleece:Lay the protective fleece generously over the entire pond area with an overlap of at least 20cm.

2. Position the slide:Carefully unroll the pond liner and position it centrally over the pond basin. Leave at least 50 cm of overlap on all sides for later fastening.

3. Insert foil:Slowly lower the liner into the pit. Work from the center outwards, gently pressing the liner into all corners and steps. Avoid applying excessive tension.

4. Fold the pleats:For corners and curves, create neat folds instead of stretching the liner. Pond liner is very flexible and folds well.

5. Fastening:Secure the edge of the liner with stones, pond edging profiles, or ground anchors. The edge should extend at least 30 cm above the water level.

6. Add water:Fill the pond slowly with water. The weight of the water will allow the liner to adapt perfectly to the shape of the pond.

PVC pond liner 1.0mm is extremely easy to maintain. With proper care, the liner can achieve a lifespan of 25 years or more.

🧹 Regular Maintenance:
The PVC liner itself requires no special care. However, regularly remove leaves, sludge, and organic deposits from the pond bottom to maintain water quality. Avoid sharp-edged tools when cleaning – instead, use soft brushes or pond vacuums. The liner is resistant to algae and bacteria, so no chemical cleaning agents are required.

❄ Winterizing:
PVC liner is cold-flexible down to -20°C and requires no special winter protection. The pond can freeze over without problems. However, ensure that no sharp objects are frozen in the ice that could damage the liner when it thaws. An ice defroster prevents pressure damage from ice formation.

🔧 Repair and Maintenance:
Should the liner be damaged, it can be easily repaired. Clean the damaged area thoroughly and simply glue a patch over the damaged spot with special PVC adhesive. Practical repair kits can be found in our accessories. The repair is permanently waterproof. Even larger damages can be repaired this way.

🌱 Extending Lifespan:
To achieve maximum lifespan, protect the liner from mechanical damage by sharp objects. Use pond mats or gravel as a protective layer at the pond edge. Avoid sharp objects in the profile if you walk into the pond with boots.
