Step-by-step instructions

1. Lay out the fleece: Cover the entire pond area generously with an overlap of at least 20cm.

2. Position the liner: Carefully unroll the pond liner and position it centrally over the pond basin. Leave at least 50 cm of overlap on all sides for later fastening.

3. Insert the liner: Slowly slide the liner into the pit. Work from the center outwards, gently pressing the liner into all corners and steps. Avoid applying excessive force.

4. Making folds: At corners and curves, create neat folds instead of stretching the liner. Pond liner is very flexible and folds well.

5. Securing: Fix the edge of the liner with stones, pond edging profiles, or ground anchors. The edge should extend at least 30 cm above the water level.

6. Fill with water: Slowly fill the pond with water. The weight of the water will allow the liner to adapt perfectly to the shape of the pond.

EPDM pond liner, 1.0mm thick, is extremely easy to care for and requires little maintenance. With proper care, the liner can last for 50 years or more.

🧹Regular care:
The EPDM liner itself requires no special maintenance. However, regularly remove leaves, silt, and organic debris from the pond bottom to maintain water quality. Avoid sharp-edged tools when cleaning—use soft brushes or pond vacuums instead. The liner is resistant to algae and bacteria, so no chemical cleaning agents are necessary.

❄ Winterize:
EPDM liner remains flexible down to -40°C and requires no special winter protection. The pond can freeze over without any problems. However, ensure that no sharp objects are frozen in the ice, as these could damage the liner when it thaws. An ice preventer will prevent pressure damage caused by ice buildup.

🔧Repair and maintenance:
Should the liner become damaged, it can be easily repaired. Thoroughly clean the damaged area and simply apply a patch using special EPDM adhesive. Convenient repair kits are available in our accessories section. The repair is permanently waterproof. Even larger areas of damage can be repaired in this way.

🌱 Extend lifespan:
To achieve maximum lifespan, protect the liner from mechanical damage caused by sharp objects. Use pond mats or gravel as a protective layer at the pond's edge. Avoid sharp objects in the treads if you walk around the pond wearing boots.
